Shirley A. Shell

Shirley Ann Pierce Shell, 82, of 1115 Dickson Rd. passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, SC.

Born in Spartanburg, SC on February 9, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Alfred L. and Alice Elizabeth (Quinn) Pierce and married the love of her life on Christmas Day in 1951, Doyle Lee Shell having celebrated 66 wonderful years of marriage.

Mrs. Shell was a wife, mother and grandmother and member of First Baptist North Spartanburg.

In addition to her husband, Doyle, she is also survived by three daughters, Susan Rose and her husband Tony of Lugoff, SC, Doyla Longshore and her husband Ralph of Lyman, SC and Anita Haney and her husband Michael of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters, Bonnie Roberts and her husband Gene of Corryton, TN and Leslie Fink of Oklahoma City, OK along with eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by one grandson, Denis Cotton.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 1:00 - 1:50 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Brad Atkins and Dr. Michael Hamlet officiating. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Memorial Park in Boiling Springs, SC. The family is at the home of Andy and Miranda Clark, 112 Dewfield Lane, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
