Shirley Kathleen Ramsey

Shirley Kathleen Ramsey, 86, of Inman, SC, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Upstate Community Hospice Home. 

Kathleen was born in Spartanburg County on February 16, 1938, a daughter of the late Pearl (Burrell) and Broadus Blanton. She was the widow of Richard Lee Ramsey. She is survived by one daughter, Faye Champion; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; her brothers, Walden Blanton (Janice), Wilford Blanton (Ann), Junior Blanton (Chris), and Nicki Blanton (Sharon): her sisters, Betty Jo Wood, Ann Cargile and Carolyn Emory (Mike) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, a daughter, Nancy Ramsey Brown: an infant son: a brother, Wayne Blanton: a sister, Virginia Blanton: a son-in-law, Waytzel Champion and a brother-in-law, Billy Wood.

She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Landrum and enjoyed caring for children in her home.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Seawright Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Pittman officiating. Visitation will follow the service at Seawright Funeral Home. 

Private Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
