Shirley Ann Clayton Moody, 76, of 23 1st Street, passed away Saturday, September 26th, 2015 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital in Spartanburg, SC. Shirley was born in Greenville County on February 14, 1939, a daughter of the late John Blease "J.B." and Annie Mae Tinsley Clayton.
Mrs. Moody was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church and had retired from Inman Mills.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa M. Blackwood and her husband George of Boiling Springs, S. C. In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by two sisters; Effie Jane Clayton and Norma Jean Cantrell.
A visitation will be held, Monday, September 28, 2015, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Seawright Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Jack Hames. A private interment will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 701 Grove Road, ISC-3rd Floor, Greenville, SC 29605 or to Mobile Meals, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
The family is at the home of the daughter and son-in-law at : 690 Belcher Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316
