Shirley E. Lake of Spartanburg went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 4, 2014 after a long battle with kidney disease. She was 62. Shirley was the daughter of David and Irene Pierce of Groton, NY (both deceased).
Shirley is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Larry L. Lake of Spartanburg, her sons, Larry Lake, Jr. (Tamra) also of Spartanburg; Jerry Lake of Cape Coral, FL; Edward Lake (Deana) of Maryville, TN; her grandchildren Pierce Lake & Christopher Lake both of Spartanburg; Chad Lake of Cape Coral, FL; Tyler Lake and 1 great grandson, Jeffley Hudson Lake of Spartanburg.
Shirley's surviving siblings are Carolyn Brown (Douglas) of Dade City, FL; Nancy Rick (Jack) of Kalispell, MT; Marilyn Pierce and Linda Pierce both of Westfield, IN; David Pierce, Jr. of Aurora, NY and Elaine Smith (George) of Cortland, NY She has many nieces and nephews who survive her as well.
It was Shirley's wish to be cremated. A private service is being planned by the the family at their convenience.
The family wishes to thank the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Center for their support and loving care for Shirley's end of life care. Donations to the Center may be made in Shirley's memory at: Spartanburg Regional Hospice Center, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
