Sherry Lynn Gilbert
Sherry Lynn Cox Gilbert, 59, of 118 Hancock Street, Union, SC, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at her home. Sherry was born in Spartanburg, SC on April 3, 1955, a daughter of Dorothy "Dot" (Owens) Cox, of Inman and the late Carmel Chrisley Cox. She was formerly employed at Domino's Pizza and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her mother Sherry is survived by a daughter, Ashley Gilbert, a son, Todd Gilbert, both of the home; two sisters, Debbie Brown, of Greer; Cindy Jackson, of Inman; a brother, Kenny Cox, of St Louis, MO; and four grandchildren, Alyssa, Madison, Shelbie and Summer Gilbert. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday September 28th at the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship conducted by Rev Johnny Guffey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seawright Funeral Home, P0 Box 192, Inman, SC 29349 to offset funeral expenses.
