Sherlon Wilkins, 86, of 2780 East Main Street Spartanburg, passed away Tuesday, July 9th, at Eden Terrace of Spartanburg. Her former residence was on Chapman Road in Pacolet, SC.
Sherlon was born in Chester, SC on March 7, 1933, a daughter of the late Bertha Genobles Brown and Ernest Brown and she was the step daughter of the late Nannie McBride Brown. She was the widow of John Earl "Turl" Wilkins.
She retired from the Rosemont Plant in Jonesville and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church where she had been active in The Golden Tones and a member of the bereavement committee.

She is survived by a daughter; Lynn Gray, wife of Dr. Larry Gray of Cincinnati, OH, a son; Chris Wilkins of Columbus, NC, a sister; Geraldine "Jerry" Spencer of Pacolet, a brother; Harold Brown of Inman, a granddaughter; Kaitlin Spindler and her husband Christoph of Wellford. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a brother; Fulton Brown and two sisters; Ruth Fowler and Ernestine "Teany" Varner.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 13th at Morningside Baptist Church in Spartanburg with Chaplain Scott Linnerud and Rev. Steven Owensby officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
Private interment will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eden Terrace Employee Fund, 2780 East Main Street Spartanburg, SC 29307; or, Interim Hospice, 16 Hyland Road, Greenville, SC 29615 (note in memory of Sherlon B. Wilkins on checks please)
