Shelba Jean Howell Kiwitz, 79, of 108 Rushmore Drive Inman died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at her home. A native of Dalton, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Herschel C. and Ethel Ruth Huskey Howell and was the widow of Klaus G. Kiwitz.
Shelba had proudly served her country in the U.S. Army and was a Lutheran. She retired from Symtech and became a volunteer at Mobile Wheels and eventually started working for Mobile Meals.
She is survived by two sons Paul G. Kiwitz (Alisha) and Christian Kiwitz, both of Inman; three sisters; Betty Owens of Calhoun, GA, Patricia Burnette of Chatsworth, GA, Gaileen Harris of Franklin, NC; three brothers, Charles Howell of Rocky Face, GA, Michael Howell of Dalton, GA, Wade Howell of Knoxville, TN; one grandson, Abel Kiwitz; and three granddaughters, Katelee, Kristin, and Parker Kiwitz. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a sister, Brenda Locke.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Mobile Meals in her memory.
