Sharon Harrelson Kissam, 55, went home peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 7, 2024. She was born February 1, 1969. Sharon was preceded in death by her loving Husband, Greg Kissam, Maternal Grandmother Ruby Farmer and Maternal Grandfather Walter Farmer, Paternal Grandmother Bernice Bowen Harrelson and Paternal Grandfather Ralph Harrelson.
Sharon graduated from Hallsboro High School. She spent her life as a dedicated wife, loving mother and servant of Christ. She touched the lives of so many people in her various jobs as a cosmetologist, substitute teacher, administrative assistant, and fleet truck delivery driver. Sharon was known for her loving, giving, and thoughtful nature. Sharon touched the lives of everyone she met. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, offer a kind word, or share a warm smile. Sharon’s generosity and kindness knew no bounds, and she leaves behind a legacy of compassion and love.
In 1989, she married her high school sweetheart, soul mate and best friend, committing to a lifetime of loving him. This union was blessed with two beautiful daughters in who she would go to the ends of the earth for.
Sharon is a member of Northbrook Baptist Church, where she enjoyed her Sunday school class and singing in the choir. Sharon was known because of her willingness to serve in many different ways over the years. For all who knew Sharon, knew of her everlasting dedication to our Lord and Savior.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Olivia Grace Kissam of Greenville, SC and Eden Daley Kissam of Spartanburg, SC; father, Donald Glee Harrelson and mother, Lela Farmer Harrelson of Whiteville, NC; sister, Janice Carter (Chris) of Campobello, SC; brothers, Darin Harrelson (Christy) of Lake Waccammaw, NC, Craig Harrelson (Rebekah) of Inman SC; father and step-mother in-law, Bennie and Janice Kissam of Supply, NC; step father-in law, Steve Strauss of Greensboro, NC and many beloved nieces and nephews, her precious grand doggies, Sadie, Ellie and Saylor.
The family will receive friends and family Saturday, July 13, 2024. Visitation will be at 1:00PM and the Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church Lake Waccamaw.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Children’s Ministry of Northbrook Baptist Church, 1881 Boiling Springs Road, Spartanburg, SC 29316.
