Inman, SC---Mr. Shannon "Bud" Daugherty, 87, of 640 Windmill Hill Rd., Inman passed away Wednesday, September 10th, 2008 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Mr. Daugherty was born in Inman, SC on July 3, 1921, the son of the late Marcus Furman and Cora (Seay) Daugherty.
He was the widower of Thelma (Culbreth) Daugherty.
He is survived by 1 son: Jerry Daugherty and wife Tonya of Inman, 1 sister: Geneva Coleman of Inman, 3 grandchildren: Shayne Daugherty and wife Karen, Shannon Daugherty and wife Sharon, Monica Hutcherson and husband Bobby, and 3 great-grandchildren.
He worked as a farmer and a carpenter and was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, SC, at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 12th, with Rev. Todd Johnson officiating.
The family is at the home of his son, 616 Windmill Hill Rd., Inman and will receive friends Friday 9:30-11 :00 AM. at Seawright Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303 or Mobile Meals, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
A private burial will be in Inman Cemetery.
