Scott Lee Shipman

Scott Lee Shipman, 59, of Cowpens, SC, formerly of Inman, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Spartanburg Medical Center. 

Scott was born in Spartanburg, SC on March 14, 1965, a son of the late Janie Lou (Drake) Dempsey and the late Bobby Dean Shipman. His survivors include, a sister, Kathy Bradburn (Todd); two brothers, Ronnie Shipman (Lucy) and Doug Shipman (Lena); nieces and nephew, Erica Thorn, Krista Kilgore, Jason Large and many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Danny Ray Shipman and a nephew, Bobby Shane Shipman. 

Scott was a member of Melvin Hill Church; he worked as a painter and was an avid pool player.

His family will conduct a memorial service on Tuesday August 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Melvin Hill Church, with Rev. Craig Scruggs officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Melvin Hill Church, 525 Melvin Hill Rd, Columbus, NC 28722.
