Sarah Caroline Broyles Henson

After a courageous battle with cancer, Sarah Caroline Broyles Henson, 56, of Spartanburg, SC went to our Father's arms on January 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to improving the lives of those around her. Born February 18, 1968, this beloved daughter, sister, wife, friend and community member was a radiant presence whose spirit touched everyone she met.

Caroline's profession as a certified mastectomy fitter at Gibbs Cancer Center was a true reflection of her caring nature. She served her patients with the utmost compassion, always striving to make life a little easier for those facing the most challenging of circumstances. With each patient she helped, Caroline brought not only her expert skills but also a warmth that made all feel cared for and valued. She was known for her contagious smile, which lit up any room she entered, and for her ability to see the goodness in everyone.

A devout Methodist, Caroline remained deeply committed to her faith, finding strength in her belief and sharing that strength with others. She was an active member of numerous organizations that sought to uplift her community, including Safe Homes, Upstate Senior Network, Mental Wellness Partnership, Upstate Gerontological Society, and Alzheimer's Association. Her passion for helping others extended far beyond her professional life, and she was always the first to lend a hand or offer support, regardless of the circumstances. Caroline's creativity and zest for life were equally evident in her many hobbies. After an adventurous trip to Italy with her sisters, Caroline, with the help of her friend and business partner, Catherine, channeled her love for cooking into creating a unique blend of seasoning spices, which the called Cinch. Her culinary creations brought joy to many, and her passion for flavor was a reflection of her vibrant personality. Additionally, Caroline was an accomplished rock artist, creating beautiful, inspirational painting of smooth stones that she shared with others to brighten their day.

Caroline's legacy is one of selflessness, warmth, and boundless love. She was a light in this world with a contagious laugh, and though her presence will be deeply missed, her impact will continue to resonate through all those she touched.

She is survived by her cherished family which includes her loving parents, Sarah and Dwane Broyles, her supportive sister, Cynthia Louise Broyles Dalton (Tom), her devoted husband, Michael Henson, and a community that will forever cherish her spirit and contributions. Caroline joins her kind-hearted sister, Dorothy Anita Broyles, who preceded her so the Dynamic Duo is together again. A celebration of Caroline's life will be held at a later date and all are welcome to join in honoring the incredible woman she was. Special thanks to Robin and Missy for everything!

A Celebration of her life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Central United Methodist Church, 233 North Church Street, Spartanburg, South Carolina 29306.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the following organizations: Alzheimer's Association and CarnationFoundation.org.
