Mrs. Sarah Othello Boone, 90, of 200 Fortress Dr., Inman, and formerly of First Street, Inman died Thursday, June 26th, 2008 at Rosecrest Nursing Center.
Mrs. Boone was born in Spartanburg, SC on December 3, 1917, the daughter of the late Jasper T. and Evie Wofford Atkins. She was the widow of James Vernon Boone.
She retired from Saybrook Plant in Inman and she was a homemaker.
She was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church where she had been very active for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley B. Bright of Spartanburg, three grandchildren and their mates, David G. Bright of Greenville, Rev. Jonathan P. Bright of Spartanburg, Julie B. Pence of Inman, and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Alma Strickland and Thelma Livingston and one brother, R.B. Atkins.
Funeral services will be held at Inman Mills Baptist Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 28th, with Rev. Jack Hames and Rev. Jonathan P. Bright officiating. Serving, as pallbearers are David Bright, Evans Pence, Barry Burnett, Dean Hammett, J.R. Ford and serving as honorary escorts, Kirby Patrick Bright and Emory Boone Pence.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday 10-11:00 AM in the sanctuary at Inman Mills Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inman Mills Baptist Church Building Fund 22 B St Inman, SC 29349.
