Sara Foster Berry, 94, of 904 Rambling Ridge Drive, Spartanburg, SC, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Sara was born in Spartanburg, SC on January 23, 1921, a daughter of the late Mildred Lee (Ladson) Foster and Jerome Franklin Foster. She was a graduate of Lander College and was the widow of Horace Spartan Berry. She retired from District One Schools and was a member of Inman United Methodist Church. Sara is survived by two sons Ladson Berry (Susan), of Spartanburg; Carl Berry (Kathy), of Mt Pleasant, SC, a brother, James Gallman (Ann), of Wilmington, NC, five grandchildren, Lee (Amanda), Isabel (Brett), Grace, Jessica and Christopher Berry. She was predeceased by her step-father, Samuel Thurston Gallman and her brother Harold Foster. The family is at her home and will receive friends Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 10:00 — 11:00 AM at Inman United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held at Inman United Methodist Church, Inman, SC, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 8th, with Rev Ed Stallworth officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Inman United Methodist Church, 27 Bishop St, Inman, SC 29349.
