Sara Louise Barnwell, 85, of 114 Moores Farm Drive, Inman, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. She was born in Spartanburg on February 5, 1931, a daughter of the late Lillie Bell Duggins Buchanan and Floyd Roscoe Buchanan and was the widow of Edwin Eugene Barnwell, Sr. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Survivors include three daughters; Cathy Cantrell of Inman, Cheri Bobo of Chesnee, Christi Barnwell of Spartanburg; a sister; Martha Neighbors of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a son; Edwin Eugene Barnwell, Jr.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Tuesday following the service at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, February 7th, with Rev. Jack Buchanan officiating. Burial will be in Little Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery in Inman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, SC Chapter, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621.
