Mr. Samuel David Collins, 75, of 63 Blackstock Road Inman died Monday, February 25th, 2008 at Magnolia Manor of Inman.
Mr. Collins was born in Inman, S.C. on May 1, 1932, the son of the late William and Grace Walden Collins. He is survived by two daughters, Connie Jordan and her husband Don of Wilmington, NC, Karen Collins of Chapel Hill, NC, a son, Samuel David Collins Jr. of Wilmington, NC, two sisters, Betty Collins Waters and Ruth Collins Pigate of Inman, and two grandchildren, Michael Perry and Kira Collins. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Kathleen Collins Mitchell, Hallie Collins Corpening, Lorene Collins Prince, Sara Collins Wright and a brother, William Buford Collins Jr.
He was employed as a pipefitter superintendant at Dupont.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Graveside services will be held at Collins Mountain Family Cemetery, on Little Mountain Drive, Inman at 11:OOam on Saturday, March 1st, 2008.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital 950 Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605-4277.
