Samuel Lee Byrd, 75, of 295 E. Pearl Street Spartanburg, SC, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
He was born in Spartanburg on August 18, 1940, a son of the late Leola Poteat Byrd and Clyde Byrd. He retired from at Pet Dairy and was of the Pentecostal Church of God faith. He is survived by a son, Timothy Byrd (Teresa) of Spartanburg; a daughter, Pamela Snyder (Jimmy) of Spartanburg; a brother, Vernon Byrd of Inman; four grandchildren, Lance (Renee), Matthew, Emilie, Brent (Ryann), Josh; and one great grandchild, Logan. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Tuesday 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, October 20th, with Rev. Steve Foster officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army, Disaster Relief, 1529 John B White, Sr Blvd. Spartanburg, SC 29303.
