Inman, SC---- Sadie Waters Alexson, 81, of 299 Geddis Rd, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Smith Phayer Hospice House in Landrum, SC. Born in Polk County, NC on May 22, 1934, a daughter of the late Nannie (Vassey) and Broadus William Waters. She was first married to the late Morris "Bud" McFalls and the widow of Kenneth "Yank" Thomas Alexson having celebrated 35 years of marriage. Sadie was a homemaker, and a member of Ingleside Baptist Church in Landrum, SC and a member of VFW Post # 7062 in Altamont, New York.
Survivors include six children, Earlene Blackwell and her husband Michael, Shirlene Abernathy and her husband James, Hilda Emory and her husband Glenn, Randy McFalls and his wife Diane, Kathy McFalls and Anna Perry and her husband Tommie; two brothers, Hudon Waters and Jack Waters; fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; nine nieces and nephews and her best friend, Wanda Neale.
She was also predeceased by four siblings, Merle Edwards, Virginia Gregory, Leon Waters and Johnny Waters and one great grandson, Caleb Parris.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tommy Turner officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Landrum, SC.
