Mrs. Ruth Slate McCall Lamb, 82, of 1260 Rock Hill Church Road, died Sunday, November 29th, 2009. Mrs. Lamb was born in Spartanburg on January 29, 1927, the daughter of the late Roy Alexander and Helen Newcombe McCall.
She was the wife of Ralph Hamilton Lamb, Sr. of the home and was retired from Tryon Federal Savings and Loan. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Nancy Lamb Barnwell of Gramling and Lee Lamb Gilreath of Inman, grandchildren, Dr. Ryan Gilreath of Goose Creek, Gina Cassel-Coody of Brooks, Ga, LCpl Jennifer Cassel of Cherry Point, NC, and great grandchildren, Alex Campo and Owen Coody of Brooks, Ga. She was predeceased by a son, Ralph H. "Buddy" Lamb, Jr. She was the last survivor of eight children.
Cryptside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at 11:OOam on Saturday, December 5th, 2009. The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Family Council, Cottages of Brushy Creek, 101 Cottage Creek Circle Greer, SC 29650.
