Mrs. Ruth Cothran, 92, of 1071 Miller Farm Road Inman died Wednesday, September 8th, 2010 after a brief illness at Camp Care Nursing Home in Inman.
Mrs. Cothran was born in Boiling Springs on October 29, 1917, the daughter of the late Furman E. and Allie Gilliam Weathers. She was the widow of Edward Cothran and was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters; Barbara Grigg of Inman, Josephine Gilbert and husband, Luther of Mill Spring, NC, Dianne Gilbert and husband, Wade of Inman, two sons; Jackie Cothran of Inman, Jerry Cothran and wife, Karen of Landrum, one sister; Martha Shelton of Inman; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Bill Weathers and two sisters, Mae Brittian and Ruby Huntley.
The family is at the home of Barbara Grigg at 246 Edwards Road and will receive friends Friday 10-11:00am at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 11:00am on Friday, September 10th, with Rev. Mark Williams and Rev. Ron Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mobile Meals PO Box 461 Spartanburg, SC 29304.
