Ruth Waldrop Boykin, 94, of 316 Wesley Court, passed away Saturday, January 30th 2016, at Wesley Court Assisted Living. Mrs. Boykin was born in Haywood County, NC on March 9, 1921, a daughter of the late Jennings and Mary Dixon Waldrop. She was the widow of Waddell "Blackie" Boykin and was a member of Graceway Church. She retired from Inman Mills.
Ruth was survived by a son, John Zampell of Spartanburg, SC and his special friend Ann Green, a daughter, Karan Edwards and her husband Jackie of Inman,SC, a sister, Geraldine Skinner of Boiling Springs, SC , six grandchildren, six great-grands and six great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald Zampell and a grandson, Jonathan Zampell.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Seawright Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:15 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jan King and Rev. Chris Wright officiating. Interment will be in Wood Memorial Park, Duncan, SC. The family will be at 7400 New Cut Rd., Inman, SC 29349.
