Ruth Anne Baldwin

Ruth Anne (Preston) Baldwin, 91, of Inman, SC passed away at home on July 14, 2017. Mrs. Baldwin was born on April 23, 1926 in Watertown, NY and lived in Copenhagen, Mannsville, Baldwinsville, Malone and Dexter, NY before retiring to South Carolina in 1987. Mrs. Baldwin worked for several years as a school bus driver for the Baldwinsville, NY and General Brown Central Schools in Dexter, NY. Mrs. Baldwin liked to sew, read, and discuss politics. She was always a woman ahead of her time. Ruth Anne was married to Howard Pryor Baldwin on September 7, 1946 until his death in June 2007. Surviving in addition to her companion of 7 years, Duane Staddon, are three sons and four daughters, Robert Baldwin (Priscilla) of McClellanville, SC, Dennis Baldwin (Sarah) of Clayton, NY, Michael Baldwin (Jodie) of Asheville, NC, Anne Baldwin of Adams Center, NY, Judith Rich (Dale) of Apollo Beach, FL, Elizabeth Nutting (Bruce), Dexter, NY and Becky Hogle (Mike), Kirkville, NY; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Catherine Nortz, Mary Cooper, Joan Boulio and Rita Frampton. Ruth Anne was predeceased by a grandson, Robert Bruce Baldwin, Jr., 5 brothers and 2 sisters. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Maplewood Cemetery, Mannsville, NY.
