Rudolph "Sam" Townsend High, 89, of 127 High Dr. Spartanburg, passed away Tuesday, August 9th, at his residence.
Sam was born in Inman, S.C. on September 4, 1932, a son of the late Mattie Kate Seay High and William Toy High and he was the husband of Laylous Ruth Dover High of the home.
He retired from Lyman Printing and Finishing and was a member of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, Sam is also survived by a daughter, Tammy Belcher and her husband, William of Campobello, his grandchildren; Mackenzie Tillinghast and her husband,Cory, Addison Neidlinger and her husband, P.J., and two great grandchildren; Maverick and Willow. He was also predeceased by a brother, William High and a sister, Betty Rhodes.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 12th at Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman, conducted by Dr. Michael Hamlet and Rev. Sean Rogers.
Private interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Traditions Health Hospice, 115 Southport Road, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
