Mrs. Ruby Martin Whitworth, 85, of 349 Blue Ridge Rd. Campobello, passed away, Friday, December 7th, 2007 at Regional Hospice Home after a long illness.
Mrs. Whitworth was born in Chesnee, SC on May 16, 1922, the daughter of the late Dearl and Nettie (Ridings) Martin and was the widow of James F. Whitworth.
She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church where she was a member of the 1 st Ladies Sunday School Class at Walnut Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sisters, Tena Sawyer of Campobello, Lois Thomas of Spartanburg and Judy Price of California, two brothers J.D. Martin of Virginia and Jerry Martin of California. She was predeceased by a sister Beulah Ballew and three brothers, Dewey Martin, Howard Martin and Ralph Martin.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 3PM Sunday, December 9, 2007 with Rev. Todd Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens, Chesnee, SC.
The family is at the home of Tena Sawyer, 345 Blue Ridge Rd., Campobello, SC 29322 and will receive friends Sunday 2-3PM at Seawright Funeral Home.
