Ruby Kimmons Holden, 90, formerly of Inman died Monday, August 6, 2012 at Valley Falls Terrace in Spartanburg, SC. Mrs. Holden was born in Spartanburg County in April 1, 1922 and was the daughter of the late John Bunyon and Laura Jane Cantrell Kimmons. She was the widow of the late Ellis Wilson "Bully" Holden was a homemaker and member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Larry G. Holden of Inman and his fiancee Angie Sanders of Gaffney, a daughter Christine H. Hall and her husband Charles of Campobello, two brothers, Paul Kimmons and his wife Ailene of Lyman, Ed Kimmons of Inman, a sister Annie Mae Sawyer of Startex, a daughter-in-law Mickey Holden of Inman, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and her Godchild Joy Crocker of Lyman, She was predeceased by a son, Ellis Dean Holden
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Walnut Hill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Todd Johnson and Rev. Gary Hensley. The burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman. The family would like to express their special thanks to the staff at Valley Falls Terrace Nursing Home for their loving care given to Mrs. Holden. The family will be at 1475 Dickson Rd., Inman, SC 29349.
