Colton, Ca---Mr. Roy J. Richards, 69, passed away, Saturday, September 13, 2008 at
his home after a long courageous battle with cancer, with his wife and daughters by his side.
He was the husband of Elouise Pate Richards of 43 years and was the son of the late Caleb D. Richards and Margie Hunnicutt Henegar.
Mr. Richards was a veteran of the US Army and was retired from Davis Wire in Irwindale, Ca. after 36 years of employment.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Joann Schriefer of Baltimore, Md., Margie Richards, Tina Richards, Lesia Richards and Susan Richards all of the home, two sisters, Roxie Keller of Chesnee, SC and Margie Ercolano of Spartanburg, SC, a dear niece Edith Parra and family of Paramount, Ca. and two dear friends Wilton and Judy Craig of California.
He was predeceased by two nephews, Richard (Ricky) Thomas and David (Bud) Knox and one brother C.D. Richards, Jr.
A memorial service will be held in California at a later date.
