Roy Wayne Blanton, 71, of 118 Dogwood Drive, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Roy was born in Spartanburg, SC on October 17, 1946, a son of the late Robert Nolen "Bob" and Eva Ruth Whiteside Blanton. He was the beloved husband of Ethel McCraw Blanton for over 28 years. Roy attended Dependent Baptist Church and was the retired owner-operator of Blanton's Service Station and Panther Motors in Inman, SC.
He was a member of the Inman Masonic Lodge # 201 and a Hejaz Shriner. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Nolen Blanton.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Seawright Funeral Home from 12:30 to 1:50 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by Dr. Joe Geddes. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, SC. The family will be at the home.
