Abbeville, SC--Roxie Mae Pittman Stone, widow of Lewis T. Stone, passed away at the Abbeville Nursing Home, Abbeville, SC on August 23, 2009. She formerly lived at 44 South Main St., Inman, SC. She was the daughter of William Reason and Margaret Byers Pittman. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Gene Stone. She is survived by a daughter, Ann S. Ray and husband Joe Ray of Roebuck, SC, a daughter-in-law, Bette M. Stone of Abbeville, SC, a granddaughter, Leigh A. Taylor of Inman, SC and two great granddaughters, Suzanne and Hannah Taylor. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Inman Mills Baptist Church with Revs. Jack Hames, James Blackwell and Earl Hartley officiating. A visitation will be held one hour before the service in the church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Greer, SC. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Ann Ray, 403 Laurel Hill Dr., Roebuck SC 29376.
