Ronald Joe Paxton

Ronald Joe "Roundman" Paxton, 80, transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on August 8, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in Wellford, SC on March 27, 1936, he was the son of the late Johnny G. Paxton and Ethel Evans Paxton.
Ron attended Byrnes High School, spent six years in the US Air Force and attended the University of Arizona in Phoenix.
Ron was an avid golfer, played softball and really enjoyed all sports as a spectator. He attended First Baptist North Spartanburg.
He is survived by a son, Chris Paxton and his wife Donna, a granddaughter, Nikki Paxton and his close friend Edith Paxton.
A memorial service will be held this Friday, August 12, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, 4000 Parris Bridge Rd., Boiling Springs, SC conducted by Minister Patty Hazeras.
