Ronald "Ron" Monda, 73, of 355 Sandpiper Drive, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Regional Hospice Home in Spartanburg, S.C. Mr. Monda was born in Newark, NJ on May 20, 1941 and was a son of the late Andrew Monda and Assunta (Falzo) Monda. He was the loving husband of Beverly (Barnard) Monda and was a member of First Baptist North Spartanburg. Ron and Beverly were members of the Becky Wilkins Sunday School Class. Mr. Monda was a retired supervisor at International Mineral Corporation in Mulberry, Florida and served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a classic car enthusiast and a former member of the Confederate Classic Street Rod Association . He also was an active member of the Florida Disaster Relief Organization.
Surviving in addition to his wife Beverly are two sons, Donald Monda and his wife Lisa of Tallahassee, Fl., Doug Monda of Cocoa Beach, Fl., Mike Dorworth and his wife Jill of Dawson, Illinois, three daughters, Tracie Monda of Winter Haven, Fl., Asunta Monda of the home, Tammy Bridges of Winter Haven, Fl., a brother,Andrew Monda and his wife Barbara of Tom's River, N. J., and a sister Beverly Nucci and husband Ralph of Absecon, N. J. There are sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist North Spartanburg Church sanctuary conducted by Pastor Ken Babington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Children's Security Blanket, 4141, Hwy. 9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The family will be at the home.
