Rollie Watt Stapleton

Spartanburg, SC --- Rollie (Watt) Stapleton, 81, of Spartanburg, SC, and Lawrence County Ohio entered into eternal rest on June 13, 2016 at his home after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson Disease.
Watt was born on March 13, 1935 in Carter County Kentucky to Ulmont and Cleffie (Rucker) Stapleton. He was a graduate of Rock Hill High School "Class of 1954", served in the U.S. Army and retired from US Airways after 32 years of service.
Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his wife of 54 years, Helen Barklow Stapleton; one son, Dwayne Stapleton of Spartanburg, SC; one granddaughter, Sarah Stapleton of Tampa, FL, ; one sister, Betty C. Stapleton of Franklin Furnace, OH.
He was predeceased by both parents, three sisters, Phyllis Stapleton, Doris Allen and Avanelle Beebe, two brothers, William and Seldon Stapleton. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the family cemetery in Kentucky.
