Roger Dale Edmonds, 61, of 377 Old Furnace Road, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018, at his residence. Roger was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on July 20, 1956, a son of the late Odell Alonzo Edmonds and Blanche Jackson Edmonds. He was raised in the Landrum area. He was the widower of Nancy Jean Duncan Edmonds. Mr. Edmonds was a former employee of Phillips Fibers and a member of New Life Baptist Church.
Roger is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Edmonds, of Louisville, Tennessee; a son, James Edmonds and his wife, Amber of Inman, South Carolina; a step son, Timothy Dezern, of Wellford, South Carolina; a brother, Walter Edmonds and his wife, Peggy of Campobello, South Carolina and one granddaughter, Autumn Edmonds.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Edmonds was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Sercy and Doris Edmonds.
A memorial service will be held at New Life Baptist Church at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 30, 2018, conducted by Rev. Bill Harris. Visitation will follow the service in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605-4277.
