Robin M. White

In Loving Memory of Robin Shirley White (1956-2026) the daughter of George Ernest Magee and Shirley Ann Magee.

Robin, cherished educator and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was able to celebrate her last birthday surrounded by family on May 24, 2026, where she turned 70 years old. Her family was more than blessed to be able to have one last opportunity to celebrate her life.

Born in Saugerties, New York, Robin pursued her lifelong passion for teaching and learning, earning a Master’s degree in Special Education from Buffalo State. Her career spanned over four decades, during which she inspired generations of students with her dedication, creativity, and unwavering belief in the transformative power of knowledge. Known for her innovative teaching techniques and empathy, she touched countless lives and mentored many young educators who continue to carry her legacy forward.

Robin’s warmth, intellect, and humor were matched only by her kindness. She was an active community member, volunteered with literacy programs, and always found time to support her colleagues and friends. Even in her final years, Robin showed grace and courage, facing Alzheimer’s with remarkable dignity.

She is survived by her remarkable, dedicated, devoted husband of 40 years who loyally followed all his vows and promises, Michael Alan White and her buddy Joey; her three children, Michael and his wife Jessica, Nicole and Tiffany; three grandchildren Michael, Hannah, and Harper; her brother Michael and his wife Kristin Magee. Sister in-law Loretta Magee. Three nephews and one niece; George, Matthew, Ryan, and Erica. Also, a multitude of friends and former students who adored her. Robin’s life was a testament to the profound impact a dedicated teacher can have, not just in the classroom, but in the hearts of all she encountered. Robin was preceded in death by her brother George “Butch” Magee and her grandmother Elsie Eschmann.

Family has requested privacy due to the sensitivity of her passing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Robin White’s honor.

Robin White’s legacy endures in every mind she nurtured and every life she touched. She will be deeply missed, but her lessons, compassion, and inspiration live on.
