Spartanburg, SC--- Robert Wilcox, 88, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at his residence. Born in Washington State, on May 14, 1928, he was a son of the late Ray Ernest and Lottie (Weiher) Wilcox and was the husband of the late Mrs. Gwendalyn (Puckett) Wilcox. Mr. Wilcox served in the United States Army during the Korean War and retired as a truck driver from Jonathan Logan Transport. He is survived by three daughters, Missi Birdno and husband, Mike of Inman, SC, Gwen Kirby and husband, Dean of Spartanburg, SC and Linda Tesenair and husband, Daniel of Campobello, SC; one son, Mike Wilcox and wife Carmen of Cowpens, SC; six grandchildren, Skyler Birdno, Dylan Birdno, Nicole Birdno, Chuck Emery, Stacey Wilcox and Jared Birdno and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by four brothers, Donald Wilcox, Allan Wilcox, Leroy Wilcox and Lyle Wilcox and one sister, Neoma Potter. A graveside service will be held at Good Shepherd Memorial Park, Boiling Springs, SC, at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 with Rev. Benny Green officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to: Lutheran Hospice, 429 N. Main Street, Suite Greenville, SC 29601.
