Robert Wray Newton, 60, of 87 Blackstock Road Inman, passed away Sunday, September 13th, at his residence.
Wray was born in Boiling Springs, N.C. on July 9, 1955, a son of Lemmie Newton, of Hopewell, N.C. and the late Louise Wray Newton. He was the husband of Patty Barnette Newton.
He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Inman where he served as the Minister of Music and Father Pleasers Sunday School Teacher.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by a son; David Newton (Nicole) of Gibsonville, NC; two brothers; Jimmy Newton (Bernice) and Lemmie Newton, Jr. of N.C.; a sister; Beatrice Conard of N.C.; and his four grandchildren he so loved; Abigail, Andrew, Aaric, and Alex.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Tuesday 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM at First Free Will Baptist Church of Inman. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev Sean Fortner and Rev. Earl Hendrix officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church of Inman, or Choir Fund, 90 Blackstock Rd Inman, SC 29349
