"Bob" (as he was lovingly called) was called Home by his Heavenly Father on July 24, 2012. He left this world in the arms of Jesus. He is at peace at last and has been delivered from his pain and suffering. Bob was a special man; a kind, loving, compassionate, and gentle man. He was polite and soft-spoken, and everyone who met him was awed by this special "gentleman." His goal was to spread love and a smile to everyone he met – and to make this world a better place. Bob served his country well in the Marine Corps from 1959-1963. After completing his military service, Bob worked in textiles as a plant manager, and later as a salesman. He was also a Mason, Shriner, and served as Potentate. He spent many years driving a shriner bus for children who were handicapped and/or orphaned. But even before that, he was busy sharing his love, his smile and his kindness to everyone he met. Bob was confined to a wheelchair for many years, but he continued sharing his love and kind spirit everywhere he went and he always had a smile on his face. But above all, Bob was a "Child of God. A member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Inman. He is now walking and running all over Glory and rejoicing with the angels in Heaven. Bob is survived by one brother, William W. McDaniel who resides in Fargo, Minn. He was predeceased in death by his Mother - Grace McDaniel, Father - Thomas J. McDaniel, Brothers - Thomas B. McDaniel and John M. McDaniel. In addition, Bob is survived by a daughter, Wendilyn McDaniel Carson and her children – Morgon Marshall Kaufmann, Julia-Grace Levenson and Beau Carson; and a son, Robert Marshall McDaniel and his children – Christine McDaniel Carver and Alexandria McDaniel; and twelve grandchildren. Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Rhonda, who was also his best friend, companion and loving caregiver, and his playmate "Pepper".
