Robert Earl Kirby

Robert Earl Kirby, born on June 20, 1944, a son of the late George Washington Kirby and Mary Viola (Barnett) Kirby, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026 surrounded by his family, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories with those who knew him best.

He was a beloved father to Marty Kirby (Lisa) and Gina Everette (Chris), and a proud and devoted papa to Heather Smith (Adam), Shaina Brannon (Kyle), Morgan Hammett(Travis), and Brooke Kirby. His family continued to grow through the joy of his nine great-grandchildren Abigail Smith, Ella Smith, Kayleigh Wilson, Maylee Brannon, Macon Brannon, Ashlynn Hammett, Dominic Mulawka, Zachary Mulawka, and Lexi Mulawka. He is also survived by, a brother Wayne Kirby and two sisters, Lois Harmon and Joyce Willis.

Robert found great peace and enjoyment in life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending his days on the golf course, taking pride in maintaining his yard, and making lasting memories on family trips to Tennessee. He was also known for his wonderful sense of humor, always ready with a joke or a story that could make anyone smile and lighten the moment.

The family will hold a celebration of life for Robert (Papa) on Sunday, April 12 at 2:00 PM at Parkway Baptist Church, Campobello, SC 29322.

Robert’s life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed.
