Robert J. Brown

Greer, SC-- Robert J. Brown, 92, of 405 North Main Street, Greer, SC, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum. Robert was born in Inman, S.C. on April 6, 1923, a son of the late Eleanor and Allen Brown. He was the widower of Mildred (Holden) Brown, retired from Harley Bag Co. and was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy in WW II on the USS Curtis. Robert is survived by two daughters, Judy Greer (Donald), of Greer; Joyce Jones (Robby), of Lyman; a son,Hank Brown (Renata), of LaGrange, Wy., three grandchildren, Travis Greer, Kimberly Greer, Graham Jones and one great grandchild, Mikayla Cooper. He was predeceased by two grandsons, Infant Kevin Greer and Bobby Jones. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held in the Seawright Funeral Chapel at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 27, 2015. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. In addition to flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 260 Fairwinds Rd., Landrum, SC 29356.
