Robert Charles "Bob" Boyce of 9 A Street, Inman, SC died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital in Spartanburg, SC. Mr. Boyce was born in Plezer, SC on July 19, 1929, the son of the late Jesse Carl and Carrie (Nelson) Boyce and the beloved husband of Polly Davenport Boyce. He was a member of Inman Mills Baptist Church since 1955 and was a former Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and faithfully served on many committees through the years. He was also a very active member of the Inman Lion's Club and served as Past President. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran. Mr. Boyce also was a retired Clothroom Supervisor with Inman Mills with over 39 years of loyal service.
Survivors include a son, Charles Barry Boyce and his wife Holly of Spartanburg, SC, a daughter, Julie B. Barnette and her husband Brent of Inman, SC, a sister, Sara B. Junot of New Orleans, La. three grandchildren, Polly & Will Barnette and Carrie Boyce. There are four great grandchildren. Bob was predeceased by two brothers, Jesse A. Boyce and David Boyce.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 6, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 3:00 PM in Inman Mills Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jack Hames. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, Memorials may be made to:Mobile Meals, P. O. Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304. The family is at the home.
