Robert "Bob" Ford Hargett Jr.

Robert “Bob” Ford Hargett, Jr. of Lyman, SC entered Heaven on the evening of Wednesday, March 26th, 2025. He was the son of the late Robert Ford Sr. and Rachel Irene Hargett. He was predeceased by his first wife, Clarice H. Hargett, and a sister, Carol Vaughn.

Surviving are his loving wife, Sandra B. Hargett; one daughter, Lorrie Ann; one son, Robert Craig; one stepson, Craig Morgan; twelve grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Bob was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and honored to be a deacon of four baptist churches over the course of his life. He was, also, a past Master of Taylors Masonic Lodge.

His interest in sports was manifested through coaching, enjoying, and participating in them. His hobbies included going to the beach, traveling, spending time with loved ones, and enjoying nature, especially while on his tractor. He loved to cheer for the Clemson Tigers and the Atlanta Braves.

Bob was loved by many people, and he loved them well in return. He knew how to light up every room he was in, always smiling and trying to make others laugh with his jokes, quick wit, and charm. He will be sorely missed on this side of eternity.

A graveside service will be held in Bob’s honor on Saturday, March 29th, 2025 at 2:30 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (14050 E. Wade Hampton Blvd, Greer, SC 29651). Family will be at the home for any who wish to pay their respects (2101 Highway 357, Lyman, SC 29365).

In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Holly Springs Baptist Church Community Missions at 251 Hannon Road, Inman, SC 29349.
