Robert "Smokey" Barnett

 Robert Airail "Smokey" Barnett, Sr., 92, of Taylors, SC, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at his home.  Smokey was born in Laurens, SC on February 17, 1931, a son of the late Allowee (Prince) and Thomas Weston Barnett. He was the widower of Clara  (Boots) Barnett. His survivors include one son, Rob Barnett Jr. and his wife Terri: one daughter Michelle Topolnitski and her husband Mark: four grandchildren, Nate', Hayes, Dallas, and Micah: one great grandchild, Dre'. He was retired as a truck driver for Walmart, was  a member of Lee Road Baptist Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Army Serving in the Korean War and was a double Purple Heart recipient.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC conducted by Randy Barnett. Visitation will follow the service.
