Richard Guilford (Dick) Laycock, 84, of 159 Walker Road, Campobello, SC, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026 at his residence in the presence of his immediate family.

Richard was born in Sanford, Maine on August 8, 1941, a son of the late Frances Janet (Guilford) Laycock and Kenneth Laycock.

He was the husband of Linda Faye (Rollins) Laycock and was retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation after 33 years of service.

He was of the Baptist faith and proudly served in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by a daughter, Sharon L. Camden (Richard), of Coopersburg PA.; a son, Stephen C. Laycock (Lisa), of Burke, VA, 4 grandchildren, Cael R. Laycock, Eric S. Camden, Casey B. Laycock, and Madison N. Camden. Other survivors include his sister-in-law, Dorothy Laycock of Macon, GA., nephew, Christian H. Laycock and wife, Kelly, great nieces, Samantha and Alexandra Laycock and great nephew, Justin Laycock. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert W. Laycock.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Seawright Funeral Chapel in Inman, SC with Rev. Jeff Eubanks officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Burial with military honors will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman.

The service will be available via live stream on YouTube at Seawright FH Live Stream beginning at 2:00 PM.
