Richard Arlen Howell

Mr. Richard Arlen "Mugs" Howell, Sr., 70, died Friday, December 31st, 2010 at Magnolia Manor of Inman. Mr. Howell was born in Inman, S.C. on October 12, 1940, the son of the late Luke and Cora (Fox) Howell. He was a retired truck driver, member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and served in the National Guard.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan "Lainie" Stevens and Lisa Howell of Wilmington, NC. a son, Ricky Howell and his wife Rhonda of Landrum, SC, a sister, Janice Johnson and her husband Roy of Spartanburg, three grandchildren, Taylor Stevens, Tallie Thompson and Luke Howell, a sister-in-law, Margaret Howell of Inman and three nieces, Robin Petty, Angie Johnson, and Joy Cannon. He was predeceased by a brother, Harold Howell.
Funeral services will be held Monday night, Jan. 3rd, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Donnan Lawson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service. His children and family said that Mr. Howell will live in their hearts forever. Interment will be private.
