BAILEY
Richard Edwin Bailey, 90 of 63 Blackstock Road, Inman, SC, passed away July 24, 2015 at Magnolia Manor in Inman. Richard was born in Sioux City, Iowa on July 2, 1925, a son of the late Clara Amanda (Johnson) and Edwin Pringey Bailey. He was the widower of Charlotte Mae (Perry) Bailey and he had worked as a superintendent in the commercial construction industry. He was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church and had served in the U.S. Army from 1941 until 1945. He is survived by a daughter; Diana Bailey of Inman, a son; Dennis Bailey and wife Kathy of Inman, a daughter-in-law; Terri Bailey of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and his grandchildren; Richard Bailey of Omaha, Neb., Gerald Bailey of Louisiana, Steven Bailey of Omaha, Neb., Kristen Bailey of Chattanooga, Tn., Jennifer Uphan of Chattanooga, Tn., two step granddaughters; Kerry and Kelly. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Richard Bailey, Jr who had lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Monday. July 27, 2015 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Spartanburg. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Chester River Adventist School in Chestertown, MD.
