Rene' B. Royaards, a wonderful, talented and much loved man crossed over on February 20, 2022.
Rene' and his wife of 65 years, Nora, immigrated from The Netherlands in 1957 to start a new life in Spartanburg, South Carolina. They had two children, Martin (Leslie) and Carmen Heatly (David), five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He had a lifelong career with WSPA-TV and Radio where he was well known as 'Mr. Dutch'. He left WSPA to start his own, successful, video production company, VIDEO2000, Inc., from which he retired in 2008.
A drop-in to celebrate Rene's life will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at the home of his daughter, 281 Woodfin Drive, Inman, South Carolina.
Condolences can be sent to 777 Grace Valley Road, Inman, South Carolina, 29349. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local humane society.
