Raymond Lamar West

Raymond Lamar West, 81, of 140 Farm Road, Inman, SC, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at his residence.

Lamar was born in Boiling Springs, SC on August 22, 1943, a son of the late Doris (Chapman) West and Raymond Lee West.

He was the husband of Brenda (Foster) West, retired from Community Cash and was a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church where he was a choir member and a deacon.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Michelle West, of Inman, SC; a son, Danny West (Tina), of Inman, SC; two sisters, Judy Gray, of Campobello, SC; Linda West of Liberty, SC, two brothers, Boyd West, of Boiling Springs, SC; Russell West, of Boiling Springs, SC, 3 grandchildren, Joshua West (Breanna), Tyler West (Olivia), Lindsey Coggins (Andrew), 3 great grandchildren, Adelaide West, Josiah West and Jackson Coggins.

The family is at his home and will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Lake Bowen Baptist Church.

A Memorial Service will follow at 3:30 PM  with Rev. Brad Atkins and Rev. Mike Thompson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lake Bowen Baptist Church Building Fund, 404 Sugar Ridge Road, Inman, SC 29349.
