Inman, SC---Mr. Ray Spicer, 73, of 465 Kennedy Taylor Lane, Inman died Wednesday, October 20th, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Spicer was born in Morgantown, W. Va. on May 14, 1937, the son of the late Furman and Bonnie Wilson Spicer and was the husband of Carol Cobb Spicer of the home.

He retired from the United States Army as a Master Sergeant and had served during the Korean and Vietnam era.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Michelle Santee and her husband Matt of Dover, Del., Diana Spicer-Chupp of Dover, Del., two step sons, Todd Abblett and his wife Gisela of Inman, Mitch Abblett and his wife Lisa of Boston, Ma., a step daughter, Emily Hanna and her husband Phillip of Inman, a brother, Robert Ware of Merritt Island, Fla., three sisters, Lois Lee and Jean Nels of Morgantown, W. Va., Jonette Workman of Charleroi, Penn., 13 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Saturday, October 23, 2010, 2:00 -3:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 23rd, 2010. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Landrum with military honors.
