Ray Harold Mahaffey

Ray Harold Mahaffey, 62, of  Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.  

Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on July 7, 1960, a son of Jane (McCarter) Mahaffey and the late Clyde Eston Mahaffey.

Ray was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church, worked for International Wire for many years and later as a bus driver with Spartan Transit.  

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by two brothers, Donnie Mahaffey and his wife Diane and Tim Mahaffey and his wife Kay; two nephews, Michael Mahaffey and his wife Jessica and Josh Mahaffey; one niece, Haylee Mahaffey; four great nieces, Elysbeth, Maci, Malloree and Madilyn.

He was also predeceased by his grandparents, Clyde and Matsy Mahaffey and Perry and Ruby McCarter and two nephews, Eric Mahaffey and Matthew Mahaffey.  

Mr. Mahaffey's body will lie in state on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Seawright Funeral Home.  

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Pruitt officiating.   The family is at the home of his mother.
