Ray Downey, 51, of Inman, SC, passed away Wednesday, May 5th, 2021 at his home.
Ray was born in Spartanburg on December 22, 1969, a son of Essie (McCraw) Downey, of Inman and the late John Thurmon Downey. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Regina McKelvey Downey. He is also survived by four sons, Tyler Downey (Brianna), Kane Martindale (Whitney), Kyle Martindale, and Bryant Mann(Nicole); seven grandchildren, Hayden, Brynlee, Carter, and Chloe Martindale, Hagen Downey, Noah Mann, and Rylan Solis; one brother, Steve Downey(Gina), one sister, Nancy Burgess(Lloyd), and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was a member of Stable Life Worship Center and was retired from Mike Varner Plumbing.
Visitation will be held at Stable Life Worship Center, 520 Blue Ridge Street Inman, SC on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 3:45 PM. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Joe White, and Rev. Mark Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Memorial Cemetery, 4040 New Cut Road Inman, SC 29349.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stable Life Worship Center, 520 Blue Ridge Street, Inman, SC 29349 or to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
