Randy Dale Girardeau, 62, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on November 6, 2022 after being hospitalized due to complications from pneumonia. 


Mr. Girardeau was born on February 9, 1960 in Greenville, SC. He graduated from Dorman High School, and worked for the BASF chemical company. He also served for a time as the music director at Northview Baptist Church. He loved Clemson football, making others smile, cooking delicious meals for his family, and singing karaoke.


Randy is preceded in death by his father David Girardeau, and aunt Shirley Elders Naughton. He is survived by many relatives, including:

Mother Carolyn Elders Morgan and stepfather Howard Morgan of Fairforest, SC 

Aunts Joan Elders, Sarah Norris Elders, and Lavina Elders McCraw of Greenville, SC

Wife Martha Kemp Girardeau and stepson Eli Price of Spartanburg, SC 

Stepbrother Lewis Morgan, stepsister-in-law Terry Crowe Morgan, their children, and their grandchildren of Spartanburg, SC

Cousins Lynn McCraw Caroleo and Sharron Crisp Riddle of Greenville, SC

Son Christopher Girardeau of Lancaster, SC from his marriage to Martha Roxanne Hackett Rush, daughter-in-law Ellen Sharp Girardeau, and grandson Arthur Girardeau 

Stepchildren Danny Pedrick and Alyson Pedrick Clark of Spartanburg, SC from his marriage to Susan Pedrick

Stepdaughters Sara and Emma Poteat, and stepgranddaughter Ari Poteat of Inman, SC from his marriage to Betty Skinner


A memorial service will be led by the Rev. David Frost at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, SC on Wednesday, November 9 at 11:00 a.m. Visitors will be received at the funeral home following the service. 


Randy was passionate about helping people experiencing homelessness, the elderly, and children. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the charitable organization of your choice.
