Ramona Harris Settle

Ramona Harris Settle, 96, of 1360 Settle Road, Inman, SC, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Ashlan Village in Lyman, SC.

Ramona was born in Caroleen, NC on December 20, 1928, a daughter of the late Anna Bell (Chapman) Harris and N. Sifford Harris.

She was the widow of David Clyde Settle, Sr.

She was a graduate of Winthrop University and taught school at Woodland Heights Elementary school for 25 years and then taught at Campobello Elementary and Arcadia Elementary schools. She was a member of Inman First Baptist Church where she taught the 3rd grade Sunday school class for 59 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Ann Eaker, of Inman, SC; two sons, David Settle, Jr. (Paula), of Inman, SC; Harris Settle (Kathy), of Inman, SC, 7 grandchildren, Jessica Yates (Brian), Matthew Hammett (Vernice), Jonathan Settle (Samantha), Morgan Marino (Joe), Ben Settle (Sonya ), Thomas Settle (Brianna), Laura Watson (Cody) and 12 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 13th at Inman First Baptist Church Atrium.

Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM on Saturday, in the church sanctuary with Dr. Paul Moore officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman. Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Hammett, Brian Yates, Jonathan Settle, Joe Marino, Ben Settle, Thomas Settle and Cody Watson.
